YAM - Yet Another Mailer (#2) - YAM 2.5 display function not working. (#35) - Message List
When I click on an attachment icon or use the 'Display' function, instead of displaying the item a 'Select File To Open' requester comes up. Before submitting a bug report I want to check to see if this problem is already known or if I have misconfigured something.
When I click on an attachment icon or use the 'Display' function, instead of displaying the item a 'Select File To Open' requester comes up.
This requester is not opened by YAM itself.
What kind of attachment is that? Do you have a MIME type configured for this type? Did you try to run SnoopDOS/Snoopy to see which program opens this requester? If you have a MIME type configured then check the command line of this MIME type. It must contain a "%s" to let YAM insert the correct filename.thboeckel01/18/2008 11:44:54 AM (8 years ago)
Thanks! After updating the MIME config it works. I installed v2.5 over v2.4p1 and assumed the previous configuration was maintained (it worked under v2.4p1). In addition, Multiview (without the '%s') was the default viewer in the MIME config page. So I assumed Display requests would be handled by Multiview (raw, plain text, gif, jpg, etc.) Is the Multiview default line supposed to include the '%s' argument after it? Apparently it was the Multiview file requester that was opening.DL01/18/2008 04:22:28 PM (8 years ago)
Omitting the '%s' of course will start MultiView without any filename and hence will of course make it ask for a file.
You can get list of possible placeholders, like '%s' for the filename, if you click on the down-arrow-popup-gadget right of the command string gadget.
Placeholders are also possible for some ARexx scripts.thboeckel01/19/2008 11:19:28 AM (8 years ago)
