wordwrap on typing/before sending?
 solved

When I edit a not sent mail I sometimes get lines that only contain few words, i.e. wordwrapping doesn't work the way I want it. There is no change in it whether I select "on typing"(? in german: beim Eintippen) or "before sending" ("vor dem Senden"). Is it not working correctly or do I misunderstand it? It is a lot of work to rearrange all those paragraphs that have that way broken lines.

My version is the last of the nightly builds.

This is not a big problem as I wanted to put my suggestion to the feature requests, but I first wanted to know if the behaviour is wanted or maybe malfunctioning. The suggestion is to handle it like PINE on reformatting paragraphs as described one post before. I guess this is way easier to implement than to search for lost sources.

I write a new mail. Every 76 chars the text gets wrapped to the new line automatically. When I add new text to a written paragraph, the text doesn't get wrapped anew completely, i.e. just the line I edited gets wrapped but only partially. When I save the message without sending and reopen it it contains the first x lines upto the position where the line got wrapped, on the next line there are just some words followed by a gap (no text). The text is continued on the newxt line. It lokks about that way:

blafasel full line in this paragraph till the end of the line short line blafasel some more full lines but still the same paragraphs.

I expected it to get wrapped anew either directly when the message is written ("beim Eintippen") or after saving/on sending ("vor dem Senden"). Both isn't done. An option like in PINE (hit Ctrl-P) to wrap around a paragraph would be good, too.

Mhhh, I have to check that when I am back home in mid January, but from this post I can only guess that this is another bug of the TextEditor.mcc MUI custom class for which unfortunatly no source code exists anymore, which means you more or less have to life with it until we have a proper replacement for it...

Please give a short example of what exactly happens so that we can investigate what it actually might be that triggers that behaviour you are refering here.
