Opened 19 months ago Closed 13 months ago #276 closed enhancement (fixed)autosave message lacks receivers and subject
DescriptionSummary
If YAM crashes during editing a mail, YAM creates an autosave mail in Outgoing. This contains a part of the mail body but receiver and subject get deleted. Steps to reproduce
Expected results
YAM should realize that the former saved mail and the autosaved mail are the same and thus offer the last laved message as autosave with correct receivers and subject instead of having saved two partly messages - one with old history and one without receivers and subject. Actual results
After starting YAM again it tells you that it saved a message in Outgoing from your last edit and asks whether you want to continue it. When you say "yes", you see as much of the body as YAM could autosave but receivers and subject are lost. Regression
Too much work. Have to open autosaved message at first to not lose its content, mark, copy and paste its content to the former saved message where receiver and subject are stored, send this message and delete the autosaved one. Notes

This request should now be finally implemented with changeset [5982] and the feature should appear with the next 2.8 version of YAM. Note: See

Accepting this ticket at it is perfectly valid. However, changing it to an enhancement request as the current autosave features is more meant as being a last resort for not losing your mail content in case YAM or your system crashes.
